Mother Earth is our first teacher. Every plant, animal, rock, river, stream has gifts to share. We can learn from All our Relations. The First People on this place we call Turtle Island have remained close to the land and to the teachings that we are given.

All people come from ancestors who had a reciprocal relationship to the land. For most individuals raised with Western cultural norms, the voices of these ancestors has long been forgotten. And yet it is still in our nature to recognize that the pull toward this way of knowing who we are and the role we play.
